Planning at the PC ... for efficient bending
By means of our tube bending software PIPEFAB B it is quite easy to generate isometrics and to calculate the corresponding bending data for any kind of tube shape, including a bending collision check. Input of the tube shape can be performed in several different ways: either as drawing with dimensioning of length and angle values, via input of XYZ coordinates or vector data. Moreover it is possible to directly transfer already existing data from various CAD systems or 3D tube measuring systems via cor- responding interfaces. The different types of displaying the data can be conveyed into each other without any delay.

According to the tube isometric and the used material PIPEFAB B calcu- lates the cutting length of the tube as well as the bending data, which can be printed or directly be transferred to the bending machine. Besides the basic material data and the geoemtrical data the software also considers the spring-back and dilation behaviour of the tube as well as the radius de- flection when calculating the bending data. In this way the result perfectly fits to the specifications.
To ensure, that the tube can be bent on the favoured bending machine, PIPEFAB B performs a bending collision check, thereby considering the geometrical dimensions of the bending machine and the tools in use. Self-displaying text menus and a perfected window technique for working with mouse or keyboard offer excellent and comfortable handling. Drawn and saved once, the tube figures can be loaded, printed or modified at any time.
