The electromechanic 3D isometric device SCOPELINK is used whenever the determination of a planned pipe course (isometric sketching of a template pipe) has to be done on-site. Easily and quickly the SCOPELINK is assembled directly within the plant to be piped between two existing connection points (e.g. flanges or sleeves) to simulate the planned pipe course.
SCOPELINK consists of straight elements with fixed and variable lengths, angular elements, rotation elements as well as flange and sleeve adapters. The singular components are built-in between the flanges or sleeves according to the planned pipe course and then connected to a special portable outdoor notebook by data cable.
Via integrated measuring sensors and computer-aided the geometric data of the template pipe is calculated by the associated measuring software, which will be installed on a portable and very rugged outdoor notebook.
When calculating the pipe isometry the measuring software automatically takes account of the mounting position and the sequence of the various SCOPELINK elements. The software also performs a collision check to en- sure that the pipe can be bent on the bending machine and inserted at the jobsite without any collision.
The geometric data of the template pipe as well as the spatial positions of the connecting flanges on-site (including the hole pattern) can be trans- mitted to the pipe workshop via Internet or company network in no time. An interface to our tube bending software ensures that the geometric data of the template pipe can directly be transferred into production data for the bending machine without problems.
After taking measurement of a planned pipe course the SCOPELINK is dis- assembled and is consequently available for the next job to be done.
